How to write an annotated Bibliography. 2023 Best

For this assignment we will learn how to write an annotated Bibliography. A bibliography is a list of sources (journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Bibliographies are sometimes called “References” or “Works Cited” depending on the style format you are using.

How to write an annotated Bibliography.

Instructions A bibliography is a list of sources (journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Bibliographies are sometimes called “References” or “Works Cited” depending on the style format you are using. A bibliography usually just includes the bibliographic information (i.e., the author, title, publisher, etc.). An annotation is a summary and/or evaluation. Therefore, an annotated bibliography includes a summary, assessment, and reflection of each of the sources. Each annotation (summary, assessment, & reflection) should be at least 350 words in length. Articles that are five years older than the current year will not be counted. For example, any article dated 2016 (2022 current year) will not be counted towards the required 36 articles.

How to write an annotated Bibliography.

Please do not use any of the articles provided in the course modules. Your annotations will include the following 3 components (Label each one accordingly): ● Summary: ○ What are the main arguments? ○ What is the point of this article? ○ If someone asked what this article is about, what would you say? ○ How does this article correlate to the PLO Standard selected for the specific question? ● Assessment: ○ Is it a useful source? ○ How does it compare with other sources in your bibliography? ○ Is the information reliable? ○ Why did you pick this article to review? ○ Which of the PLO standards support this article? Why?

How to write an annotated Bibliography.

Reflection: Once you’ve summarized and assessed a source, you need to ask how it fits into your future career as a school leader. ○ Was this source helpful to you? ○ How can you use this source in the future? ○ Has it changed how you think about educational leadership? ○ What impact will it have on your future as a school leader? Why should I write an annotated bibliography? You begin to read more critically instead of just collecting information.

At the professional level, annotated bibliographies allow you to see what has been done in the literature and where your own research or scholarship can fit. Writing an annotated bibliography can help you gain a good perspective on what is being said about educational leadership.

How to write an annotated Bibliography.

By reading and responding to a variety of sources on educational leadership, you’ll start to see what the issues are, what people are arguing about, and you’ll then be able to develop your own point of view. Format The bibliographic information: Generally, though, the bibliographic information of the source (the title, author, publisher, date, etc.) is written in APA. Use https://www.citefast.com/?s=APA to create your references in APA format. The annotations: The annotations for each source are written in paragraph form. The lengths of the annotations should be no less than 150 words.

How to write an annotated Bibliography.

Remember to focus your annotations for your own needs. Please do not include any materials that you reviewed in any of your courses. These references should be articles you read in order to create this annotated bibliography. Please only review online articles; you will be able to include the URL of the material in your reference. Articles can be either academic or practitioner; make sure the articles are available online in their entirety. Provide three articles per prompt; the seven prompts highlighted in red below have been selected for you.

Select one additional prompt from each of the five remaining categories for a total of 12 prompts with 3 articles per prompt for a total of 36 articles. How to write an annotated Bibliography. https://youtu.be/qrDFzwZ2dGc

Paper instructions: Annotated bibliography including 5 articles describing mentoring programs. *Recent journal articles within 10 years. Provide a link to each article under citation** An annotated bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Mentoring Programs.

Therefore, an annotated bibliography includes a summary and/or evaluation of each of the sources. Annotated bibliography summaries should include two paragraphs following the APA citation: one paragraph summary of the research article and one brief paragraph including both the assessment of the research article and a single reflection statement of its worth. Each annotated bibliography source should follow the APA format and should not exceed notations longer than two paragraphs. (See the additional information provided below.) Summarize: Some annotations merely summarize the source.

Mentoring Programs.

What are the main arguments? What is the point of this book or article? What topics are covered? If someone asked what this article/book is about, what would you say? The length of your annotations will determine how detailed your summary is. Assess/Evaluate: After summarizing a source, it may be helpful to evaluate it. Is it a useful source? How does it compare with other sources in your bibliography? Is the information reliable? Is this source biased or objective? What is the goal of this source? Reflect: Once you’ve summarized and assessed a source, you need to ask how it fits into your research. Was this source helpful to you? Has it changed how you think about your topic?

In the reflection memo, please discuss your thoughts on the article e.g.  What surprised you?   How does it relate to what we have discussed in class?

Writing a reflection Memo

Do you have personal experiences that you can relate to the article? Ø What thoughts do you have that expand on the article?  What do you think happens next? The key point to remember is that the paper is NOT a test…the goal is NOT to summarize the article or to answer an exam question, rather it is to explore your own thoughts and ideas about a topic. The effects pets have on humans 2023 Best

This paper explores the effects pets have on humans social, physical, mental health.  In the “Introduction” section you are to introduce the topic—specifically the hypothesis: Hypothesis: Discuss a question that can be solved through investigation or review of current literature

The effects pets have on humans

The effects pets have on humans social, physical, mental health.  At least 10 references are cited, 3 of which must be from peer-reviewed journals. ● Follows APA style (includes spelling, grammar, bibliography) ● At least 2000 words in length The purpose/necessary learning objective of this assignment: analysis. You will be mastering scientific method in order to analyze a scientific topic. Your task is to choose a scientific topic and analyze the case study with the following necessary components labeled as “sections” in your literature review: 1. In the “Introduction” section you are to introduce the topic—specifically the hypothesis:

The effects pets have on humans

Hypothesis: Discuss a question that can be solved through investigation or review of current literature (This is not your original research.) You must state the question in the form of a hypothesis. You can choose any topic that is in the realm of scientific peer-reviewed literature. Topics can also be from interdisciplinary peer-reviewed sources. ● Objectives: List objectives that you will address within your literature review. This means that you will map out all of the avenues that you will cover within the subsequent sections and list exactly in what sections you will cover them. These objectives are schematically provided for you in what follows.

The effects pets have on humans

However, don’t just state: I will talk about the ‘methods’. State, very compactly, 2.a-e. The difficulty in these types of projects is how to express something precisely. 2. In the “Methods” section you are to describe your search process and the rational/criterion for selection of references for inclusion. This means that you will: ● Information Sources: Describe the processes/search engines that you used to search your topic (e.g., google scholar, open source catalogues, databases etc.). ● Source types: Describe the particular sources that you are searching (e.g. books, journals, secondary literature etc.)

The effects pets have on humans

Revisions: Related to “a” and “b”, describe how you formulated your search (e.g. keywords, filters, etc.); and, more importantly, how you revised your search along the way after encountering potential limitations. ● Criterion: Describe the search criterion you used. ● Method of inclusion/exclusion: Describe how you limited the search as well as how certain sources were included and why others were excluded. Here, it is important to address what articles and authors could have been excluded and why. I encourage you to be as inclusive as possible in your search. Academia itself has many systemic biases that need to be uncovered and changed.

The effects pets have on humans

Certain research projects do not receive funding based on these system biases. Point out these biases and describe how you sought out sources that addressed the biases. Remember, I’m not looking for the right answer on some research project, rather, I’m looking for how you analyze and navigate; and part of that is understanding the inherent biases in certain journals. 3. In the “Results” section you are to synthesize/amalgamate the evidence for the hypothesis by structuring the following: ● Synthesis of information: Synthesize, structure, and analytically summarize the content of reviewed literature.

The effects pets have on humans

That is, how can we combine all of the various analyses from various sources into one cohesive story? You will have to develop the narrative for that story by organizing the various sources of information and then tracing the story through the sources. I’d recommend attempting to find common variables or parameters between your sources. That is, study 1 and study 2 both focus on Alzheimer oligomer formation and produce the same results, even though the methods differ in the following respect. Here, ‘oligomer formation’ is the variable, the similarity of result is the value of the variable, and the different methods are the experimental or lab setups that are behind the results. https://youtu.be/KNM5_lO1dOA

Cat Irving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7Dvip3yexM please use Frankenstein original movie and Titus Andronicus as primary sources. for the 5 secondary sources please Use Chris Baldrick essay, Susan Hitchcock essay, Elizabeth young essay, Cat Irving Frankenstein and medical science, and Stephen asma monsters and the moral imagination.

Monsters in literature.

A bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, websites, films, etc.) you have used or you are currently using for researching a topic. You may produce a bibliography at any point in your research. A works cited page, in contrast, can only accompany your actual finished essay or article—the word “cited” implies that you have referred to and cited the source in your own writing. So this assignment is a bibliography, because you have not yet produced your term papers nor incorporated quotes into your own writing. (Your final paper should include a works cited page at the end, but you will have already turned in your bibliography, so you do not need to include it again!)

Monsters in literature.

An annotation is a summary, evaluation of, and/or commentary on a source. Therefore, an annotated bibliography includes a summary and brief evaluation of each of the sources. For this assignment, you will list—in MLA format—at least two primary and five secondary sources that you are using or most likely plan to use for the final paper assignment in this class. Remember, a primary source is the text or object you are directly making a claim about, and a secondary source provides you with some tools (historical or cultural context, theories or philosophies, definitions, expert reviews and commentary, etc) to help you support those claims.

Monsters in literature.

You are not required to use outside sources, but you may if you wish. Remember that secondary sources should be unbiased, present material objectively, and possess credible expertise in relation to the subject (for instance, peer reviewed academic journals or books, or essays or articles by acknowledged experts in the field). Note: you are not tied to these sources; you may change your mind later on when writing the paper! You may also add more sources while writing your final paper; this is only the minimum for this assignment! You should follow each entry with your annotations for that entry.

Monsters in literature.

Annotations should be at least 2-3 sentences per entry and cover the following topics: Summary: If a primary source, what is the main overall plot? If a secondary source, what is the author’s main argument or thesis? What is the overall point of this source? What topics are covered? In other words, if someone asked you what this source is about, what would you say? Evaluation: How is this source useful to you? What does this source contribute to the claims you want to make in this project? If it is a primary source, what might be the most important evidence or details that you could use?

Monsters in literature.

If it is a secondary source, what does it do—for example, does it provide definitions of important concepts, or historical context, or an expert analysis of a text? Which classical rhetorical strategies does the author use to make their point? (Rhetorical strategies include logos (persuasion based on logic), pathos (persuasion based on emotion), and ethos (persuasion based on the use of some form of authority). Finally, has the source changed how you think about your topic? Some Student Examples: Primary Source 1. McKinley, Robin. The Blue Sword. HarperCollins, 1982.

Monsters in literature.

This novel follows the journey of the orphan girl Harry Crewe as she becomes a warrior and ultimately a hero in a foreign country, becoming adopted into that culture and inheriting a magical sword. This source is useful for my project because it provides an example of a traditional hero’s journey, but with a nontraditional young woman hero, someone who goes against stereotypical gender roles and protects not her birth home but her adopted culture, showing a desire for heroes who fight more cultural “monsters,” like the challenges of being an outsider as well as gender inequality.  https://youtu.be/_IfFMXoEZ4I

Business etiquette 2022 Best

This paper explores business etiquette. Instructions: Select a country that is not your home country. Research business etiquette in that country and discuss what an expat would need to know, especially “best practices”.

Business etiquette.

Final Paper Assignment Sheet Assignment Overview For this assignment, you will be asked to choose one of three topics from the list below, research it using quality sources, and construct a polished, well-organized essay that is 6-8 pages in length (not including the cover page or reference page). This paper must be written in APA formatting and should feature a reference page with at least 10 sources. These sources should represent a blend of relevant books, journals, and articles from the open web.

Business etiquette.

Research and Citation Help If you are not familiar with how to search for sources using the library’s databases, please review the resources provided here. If, after reviewing these resources, you still feel you need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to schedule a consult with one of our research librarians. You can find the link to do so here. Please just remember that consults need to be requested at least three days in advance. If you are struggling with APA formatting, or you need a refresher, USF’s library has resources to assist you with that as well.

Business etiquette.

You can access those here. Topic Choices You will need to choose one of the options below to serve as the topic of your research paper: Option 1: Ex-pat assignment Assume your American-based company has asked you to spend three years living and working in Singapore. Assume you are married and have two children, ages 9 and 14. The assignment is not mandatory. Assume that your job description is already acceptable to you. Research important factors you need to know in deciding if you want to move your family to Singapore, discuss them in the paper, and make your decision.

Business etiquette.

Option 2: Business etiquette in a selected country.  Select a country that is not your home country. Research business etiquette in that country and discuss what an expat would need to know, especially “best practices”. (Doing business abroad has failed simply because an American businessman declined a cup of coffee.) Option 3: Non-Verbal communication Non-verbal behavior is critical when doing business in the global environment.

Select two countries (your home country cannot be one of them) and compare non-verbal behavior in those countries to those in the US, focusing on what an expat doing business in those countries would need to know about non-verbal behavior differences to be successful. https://youtu.be/3JA6ZM5EzcQ
